If church in in the old time way is what you are into, this album will definitely fill that need. Gene is powerful in this "live" CD. Backed by The Arvis Stricklin Choir and with a guest appearance by the Gospel Legend, Miss Cassietta George
(of the Caravans) singing her gospel hit "Walk Around Heaven All" . Selections which have blessed me most are.."What A Friend" which is a remake of Genes' rendition first recorded as a Cleveland Singer in the 60's and "The Only Hope"
a powerful song of faith, originally recorded by Mahalia Jackson. " A prayer for Love" written by Gene, is a song speaking to the reaction to and responsibility to those with Aids. This CD is one of my favorites and it will be yours as well.
