At Sweet Music, we have been Imperials fans since the very beginning, growing up with the sweet harmony that was The Imperials of the 70's in their various front-men changes. This recording is my very favorite, beating out the compilation 1968-72 which was the very first record set I had the pleasure of playing incesssantly to the chagrin of my little Sis. :)
The Imperials did release this recording some years ago, I supplied many of the recordings used on what was to become those CDs, some were OK, some poor, some attrocious, this one was somewhere in the middle with one serious fault at what I consider my favorite song, "Sunny Day". The highs have been robbed by the rush to get things done (The reason I didn't care to work on the project) The crucical bridge where the Trumpet makes you close your eyes and get taken away with the music, it has suffered a critical engeneering structure and collapses at its height, cringeworthy, disastrous, terminal.
This then is a Digitally re-mastered CD from an analog source in excellent condition, processed with professional mastering software and equipment to achieve a recording worthy of the CD name. The resulting CD copy is free from clicks, pops, hiss, rumble and common noise that are present in analog recordings. Don't settle for just any LP to CD transfer, we are confident that you will not find a better sounding CD, after all, this one had to satisfy the pickiest listeners, ourselves!
